Emergency Prayers
21 MarI saw this book in the airport and I wanted to throw it in the garbage.
I have no idea what the inside says so I may be COMPLETELY wrong on this but from the looks of it, it was suggesting that God is some sort of vending machine at our immediate disposal for our own carnal desires.
How do you pray?
Forgiveness
10 DecI’m sure by now you’ve heard about the plane crash in San Diego. If you haven’t, the baseline story is that a pilot was flying a F/A 18-D when his engines went out and he ejected. The Jet crashed into a house in SD killing the family of Dong Yun Yoo which included his wife, two babies and mother in-law. I don’t know if I could fathom this type of forgiveness. I realize that a lot of us don’t conceptualize the destruction a giant piece of metal going 300+mph can do upon impact so I added the MSN live video for you to see. This is so sad.
This is what he said,
Yoon, 37, pressed a handkerchief to his face and seemed to stagger upon viewing what little remained: a charred garage wall, piles of blackened beams, the family’s Toyota Corolla — miraculously undamaged — parked on the street, and flowers placed nearby in memory of his family.
“I believe my wife and two babies and mother-in-law are in heaven with God,” Yoon said at a news conference afterward. “Nobody expected such a horrible thing to happen, especially right here, our house.”
Yoon said he bore no ill will toward the Marine Corps pilot who ejected safely before the jet plunged into the neighborhood two miles west of the runway at Marine Corps Air Station Miramar. “I pray for him not to suffer for this action,” Yoon said. “I know he’s one of our treasures for our country.”
How big is your God? Do you have that kind capacity for forgiveness?
